Supporting Trans and 2SLGBTQIA+ Students in School
I created and presented the following presentation for a PD at NNOC in January 2023. This PD aligns with NNCEA's mission to promote the inclusion and representation of diverse identities and represents my academic interests, research, and work in anti-oppressive education.
Academic work in decolonizing education
I have devoted the majority of my MPEd coursework to researching anti-racism and anti-oppressive education through a decolonizing lens. In light of my positionality as a person of settler-colonial ancestry, this work has been instrumental to my growth as an anti-oppressive educator. The following academic papers represent my thinking, values, and research interests.
"Educating the Educators: Decolonization through Gender Diversity Education"
"Decolonizing Antiracism: Implications of Inclusion in Multicultural Education"
